Nguyen possède plus de 30 ans d'expérience progressive dans le domaine de la gestion de projet au sein d'organisations du secteur privé et public impliquées dans des projets majeurs de construction, aérospatiale, défense et de haute technologie avec des corporations canadiennes et américaines de premier plan telles que SNC-LAVALIN GROUP, LOCKHEED MARTIN, CAE et l'AGENCE SPATIALE CANADIENNE ainsi que la NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), parmi d'autres, au cours desquels il a servi dans des capacités gouvernementales, industrielles et académiques. Avant de fonder NDV en 1995, il a servi comme gestionnaire de contrôle de programme pour le programme de la Frégate de Patrouille Canadienne (CPF), un programme de construction navale de plusieurs milliards de dollars, le plus grand et le plus complexe de l'histoire canadienne, pour LOCKHEED MARTIN Canada (anciennement UNISYS Systems Canada) et a géré des équipes de projet avec de grandes organisations s'étendant à l'échelle nationale et internationale. President and CEO of Canada's NDV Project Management Services Inc., one of the first recognized company members of the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Registered Consultant Program (RCP), Dr. Nghi M. Nguyen has had more than 30 years of progressive experience in the field or project management in private and public sector organizations involved in major construction, aerospace, defense and high-technology projects with leading Canadian and U.S. corporations such as the SNC-LAVALIN GROUP, LOCKHEED MARTIN, CAE and the CANADIAN SPACE AGENCY and NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), among others, during which he served in governmental, industrial and academic capacities. Prior to founding NDV in 1995, he served as Program Control Manager for the multi-billion dollar Canadian Patrol Frigate (CPF) program, the largest and most complex shipbuilding program in Canadian history, for LOCKHEED MARTIN Canada (formerly UNISYS Systems Canada) and managed project teams with large organizations spanning nationally and internationally. Dr.Nguyen is currently consulting numerous organizations in improving their project management processes, and has been designing specialized, tailored project management courses for both the government and the private sectors. His extensive and varied real-world experience is what sets him apart from other instructors. Dr. Nguyen is a seasoned training and consulting professional. 

As a well-known, internationally recognized project management consultant and trainer, he leads a very active project management training and consulting practice, serving as project management consultant on projects all over the world and focusing on delivering project management-based effective and efficient solutions. He has trained thousands of project managers on a variety of topics, helped them how to do their jobs better, faster and more effectively and efficiently. Nghi also provided assistance in business development, contract negotiation and strategic alliances for North American and Asian clients doing business in Vietnam. He has worked as a project management consultant for the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) on projects associated with the International Space Station (ISS) program led by NASA, the 16-nation effort to build the permanently orbiting laboratory in space as well as for SNC-LAVALIN International on China's Three Gorges hydro-electric development project, the largest construction project in the world to date, and has been involved in a number of Information Technology (IT) and Oil and Gas projects among them was the construction of the $5 billion Hibernia Oil Production Platform in St John, Newfoundland, Canada. Dr. Nghi Nguyen has delivered project management related seminars for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), International Institute for Learning (IIL) in the U.S.A.and organizations associated with the Engineering Institute of Canada in Canada (EIC), EuroMatech in the U.A.E, Britannia in Europe, Clariden Global, Trueventus, IMT, UNIStrategis in Asia, PARSONS in Latin America, among others.

A long time member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a more-than-30 year member of PMI, Dr. Nguyen is currently delivering project management seminars for the ASCE in the USA and Canada as well as for other training organizations worldwide. He has delivered project management seminars to audiences all over the world and trained thousands of project managers on a variety of topic associated with international project management standards since 1995. 

An internationally recognized speaker, author and presenter, Dr. Nghi Nguyen has written and presented numerous technical papers on project management related topics in international conventions and seminars in Canada, the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Caribbean, sponsored by professional associations such as the Project Management Institute (PMI), the American Consulting Engineering Council (ACEC), Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Pan-Pacific Business Association (PPBA), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Paris-based Association Français des Ingénieurs et Techniciens d'Estimation, de Planification et de Projets (AFITEP) and the Performance Management Association (PMA) and the Caribbean Council of Engineering Association (CCEA). He has been a consultant and trainer in project management around the world, particularly in Asia. He developed and delivered a project management curriculum for CAE, the world leader in flight simulation and pilot training, for its project managers in locations worldwide (Canada, U.S.A, U.K, Australia, Germany).

Educated at McGill and Concordia universities and Part-Time professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science of Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, teaching Construction & Project Management courses at both undergraduate and graduated levels, Dr. Nguyen holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering and Construction & Project Management and has been a Certified Project Management Professional(PMP) since 1995. He has also lectured under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Kuwait Funds for Arab Economic Development and is a registered civil engineer and project manager in both Canada and the U.S.A.

Dr. Nghi Nguyen is internationally recognized as one of the world’s leading authorities in project management having been successfully delivering seminars in Canada, the U.S.A, the U.K., France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Switzeland, Cyprus, China, HongKong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, the U.A.E, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Barbados and Colombia. He served as a member of the Canadian Advisory Council (CAC), set up by The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to participate in the development of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)’s project management standard, which has been released in September 2012 as ISO 21500 for project management as well as served as the final Draft reviewer and contributor to the current PMBOK® Fifth Edition released by PMI in January 2013, both considered by project management professionals worldwide as globally and internationally accepted project management standards. In addtion, Dr. Nghi Nguyen also served as final Draft Reviewer and Contributor to the upcoming PMBOK® Sixth Edition anticipated to be released by PMI in 2017.
